Unfiltered Me: Our Moments – Part 2.

I’m back with Part 2—answering a few more questions and sharing a little more about myself.

What do you miss the most from your childhood?
Being together with my siblings. Right now, everyone is scattered. We rarely meet, and most of our communication happens on WhatsApp. We even created a group for just the three of us. We don’t talk all the time, but we send each other funny reels, and once in a while, we meet up.

What event in your life would make a good movie?
Probably my childhood. I used to be very active and athletic, always doing fun things. People would have enjoyed watching that version of me. But from high school until now, life has become more routine. If it’s school, I go to school. If it’s work, I work. On my free days, I mostly rest or stay indoors.

Was there ever a time in your life that you thought you were going to die?
When I was a kid, a neighbor’s child cut me with a razor blade. I lost a lot of blood and ended up needing several stitches along my front hairline. It’s not very noticeable now. I only have fragmented memories of it, but my sister later told me how serious it was—she genuinely thought I might not make it.

What song always makes you happy when you hear it?
I don’t have one specific song, but Korean hip-hop always lifts my mood. Whenever I’m having a bad day, I just play any track, and it helps me shake it off.

Have you ever contemplated suicide—even for a second?
No, I haven’t. My beliefs don’t allow me to go in that direction. I’ve also come across ideas like in Khemjira(a Thai Series and some other Korean dramas) that describe taking your own life as something serious that comes with consequences. That perspective stayed with me. So no matter how life feels, I hold on and trust that hopefully I’ll reach my natural end in its own time.

And that’s a wrap for part 2. Some of these questions took me back, others made me pause a little longer than expected. It’s funny how much you can learn about yourself just by answering honestly.

If you’d like to start from the beginning, here’s Unfiltered Me:  Our Moments – Part 1
