There’s something comforting about homemade samosas. From the crispy outside to the flavorful filling inside, they are always worth the effort. Today I’m sharing a simple beef filling recipe that is easy to make and perfect for homemade samosas.
I love this recipe because it uses simple ingredients that are easy to find, yet the filling still turns out flavorful and delicious.
Beef Samosa Filling Recipe
Ingredients
√ 300g Minced meat
√ 1 medium-sized onion
√ 3 cloves garlic
√ Fresh chilli (optional)
√ Coriander
√ Cooking oil
√ Salt
Pre-preparation
• Chop the onion, chilli, and coriander.
• Mince or grate the garlic.
Method
1. Heat some cooking oil in a pan or pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and let them cook for a few minutes until soft and slightly golden.
2. Stir in the garlic and chilli, then let them cook for a few seconds until fragrant.
3. Add the minced meat and season with salt to your liking. Mix everything well, then cover with a lid and allow it to cook.
4. Keep checking and stirring occasionally until the minced meat is fully cooked and dry. This helps the filling stay perfect for samosa wrapping.
5. Once cooked, sprinkle in the coriander and mix well. Cover the pan again, switch off the heat, and let the filling rest for about a minute before using it in your samosa wraps.
In the next post, I’ll be sharing how I make the samosa wraps from scratch. Stay tuned!
